Nightingale – Holistic Disease Monitoring
Our partner Consultant at the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases wanted to understand how data from wearable devices could be utilised to better understand factors impacting the severity of different symptoms to improve and personalise treatment, thereby empowering ankylosing spondylitis patients to optimise self-management.
What We Did:
Working in partnership with uMotif, we will be launching in January, a tailored patient-data- capture application and clinician platform, enabling patients and their Clinician to monitor key symptoms (such as fatigue and pain) as well as factors affecting symptoms such as exercises and stretching, mood and stress. Depending on the applications and devices patients have we will also be monitoring lifestyle factors such as diet, activity (step count) and sleep. The data captured will then be analysed anonymously by our specialist data scientists to improve patient outcomes.
The results of the work will be available in Spring 2018. More news to follow!
